Overview
Running Airport + Ski shuttles to Methven + Mt Hutt like clockwork since 1994
Providing excellent service in the Methven region since 1994
Methven Travel was started in June 1994 with the concept of fulfilling a niche market in the Methven -Mt Hutt tourism industry.
A major decision was made in 1996 to operate a timetable service between Christchurch City / Airport and Methven. This has consolidated to a well known and respected service used by the majority of inbound tour operators and a vast number of free independent travelers.
In January 2003, we entered the School Bus service with 3 runs. Today Methven Travel travels over 1600km daily, carrying 600+ pupils on 14 different runs.
The Ski Buses were purchased from Leopard Coachlines in 2010 and added a new dimension to the company with clients being able to use one company for transport to/from Christchurch to Methven and Methven to Mt Hutt
Methven Travel now operates services – Methven - Christchurch – Methven: Mt Hutt Ski Bus, Charters and School Buses.
Methven Travel also do weddings, conferences (which can be based in Methven and Terrace Downs) and social functions! Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your options and how we can help.

Methven Travel – Key Terms & Conditions
Shuttle
Arrive at your pickup point 15 minutes before departure.
A valid booking number must be provided when travelling.
A contact phone number is required.
No smoking or alcohol is allowed on vehicles.
Services may be changed or cancelled due to weather, natural disasters, lack of bookings, or circumstances beyond our control.
Dangerous goods are prohibited.
Children under 13 must travel with someone aged 18 or over.
Guide dogs are welcome with prior notice.
Electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters cannot be carried.
Cancellation & Refunds
12+ hours before departure: Full refund.
2–12 hours before departure: 50% refund.
Less than 2 hours or no-show: No refund.
Agent fees may apply.
Ski Bus
No refund if the bus reaches Mt Hutt.
50% refund if the bus does not pass the Info Booth.
Full refund if Mt Hutt is closed for the day, or the ticket may be used on another day during the current season.
Services may be delayed or cancelled due to weather, road conditions or mountain closures.
The 3pm Ski Bus operates subject to passenger numbers.
Baggage & Mobility
Please label all luggage.
Collapsible wheelchairs and walkers can be carried with prior notice.
Passengers requiring assistance to board must arrange their own assistance; drivers cannot lift passengers.
Methven Travel may change prices, timetables, routes or transport arrangements when necessary.
