Motutere Bay TOP 10 Holiday Park is the ONLY holiday park situated on the shores of the Great Lake Taupo. Nowhere else can you park your van or pitch your tent so close to the water's edge! Due to the gentle slope of the park even the sites further from the water have great lake views. We even have cabins and self contained units for a little more comfort. The park is located about halfway between the townships of Taupo and Turangi making it the perfect base to explore the region. A selection of quality self contained and non-self contained accommodation will suit families, couples and small groups on all budgets.

The accommodation features self-contained units as well as cabins (without bathrooms) for the budget conscious.

For recreational vehicles such as caravans, motor homes, campervans, camper trailers and tents, there are fully serviced, powered sites as well as multi use unpowered grassy sites. All sites are conveniently located to amenities and camp kitchens, with a choice of being on the lakefront, or elevated on the hillside - looking over the lake to Motutaiko Island.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of your arrival date will incur a maximum 1 night cancellation fee per booking.

Motutere Bay Holiday Park is the only park situated on the shores of the Lake Taupo on State Highway 1.

Whether traveling from the North or South the beauty of our little piece of paradise is that it's so easy to find!

We are Motutere Bay - our facilities cover the full length of the beach and spread either side of the State Highway 1 on 9.8 hectares (20 acres) of park like reserve.

From Taupo, drive 32 kilomteres down State Highway 1. Most of this route follows around the East side of Lake Taupo and is extremely scenic.

Heading North from Wellington, follow State Highway 1. Once through Turangi (located at the base of Lake Taupo), continue to head North. We are located about 15 minutes drive from Turangi - 19 kilometres on the Eastern Shores of the Lake.
